Bowtie Pea ala Vodka Recipe
- 1 28 ounce can petite diced tomatoes
- 1/2 onion minced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup of Cristall® vodka
- 1 cup of half & half
- 3/4 cup grated Romano Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbls. butter
- 1 tbls. olive oil
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 1 box bow pasta
- Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
Directions:
Melt butter and olive oil in deep saucepan or skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onions, mushrooms and garlic until soft.
Add Cristall® vodka and reduce for a minute.
Add diced tomatoes, salt, peppers, basil, parsley.
Simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
Stir in half & half and cook until the sauce thickens.
Stir in the peas and grated parmesan cheese.
Cook pasta in boiling, salted water to al dente and drain.
Add sauce to pasta.
Sprinkle pasta with Romano Parmesan Cheese and Mozzarella Cheese
