Carbonara ala Vodka Recipe
1 box of linguini
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 eggs
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper
Cayenne pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped
10 slices of bacon
1 pound of hot sausage
1/2 cup of frozen peas
1/2 cup of half and half or heavy cream
1/4 cup of Cristall® vodka
Directions:
Take sausage out of casing and break into small pieces and fry with minced garlic cloves. Set aside.
Add strips of bacon to pan and fry.
Break bacon into small pieces and add back in the pan the fried sausage.
Push sausage and bacon to sides of pan, in center of pan, whisk two eggs until scrambled. Mix thoroughly.
Add parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup of frozen peas, 1/2 cup of half and half or heavy cream, salt, black and cayenne pepper and 1/4 cup of Cristall® vodka.
Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
While mixture simmers, cook pasta.
Add pasta to sausage/bacon mixture.
Sprinkle with additional parmesan cheese and fresh parsley when serving.
